On August 1-2, 2009, Aktobe ECA alumni took part in the State Alumni Round Table in in Aktau, Kazakhstan. Alumni from Western Kazakhstani cities (Uralsk, Aktobe, and Atyrau) gathered on the Caspian seashore to brainstorm about creating a Western Kazakhstani Alumni Association.
